New Budget Export/Import Functionality

This last week BMSI sent out the new Fund Accounting update to all current customers of BMSI Fund Accounting Software. There are several new features to this update, but the really exciting news is the new interface between BMSI's budget reports and Excel. Anna Gilbody, tech support specialist, says that this new feature should greatly enhance inter-departmental collaboration as well as greater flexibility in manipulating the data.
- Export a Budget Worksheet from BMSI Accounting to Excel
- E-mail Budget Worksheets to Department Heads or Selectmen
- Figures can be adjusted in Excel and then imported back into BMSI from Excel
Other features added to the BMSI Fund Accounting update are:
- Close the fiscal year, even if you have a journal entry open in the next fiscal year.
- For Cash Receipts the program now does the Due To and Due From transactions upon the merge.
- For Tax program, the Due to and Due From transactions are now done upon the merge with GL.
- Payroll check reconciliation will now merge even if there is no check information in the merge file.
